Attorney Known For Representing HOAs, Arrested For Child Porn

A lawyer who represents homeowners associations (HOA) and has testified to the legislature and helped draft bills has been charged with possession of child porn.

William George Gammon, 49, who has offices at Greenway Plaza, was arrested June 3 and was ordered held without bond today by a federal magistrate.

As if litigious homeowners' associations needed more bad publicity. Magistrate Frances Stacy ruled that prosecutors had presented enough evidence to classify Gammon as a threat to the community.
His name was on a server seized by the feds in an online sting operation. Says the U.S. Attorney's office:
The computer log files identified the paid subscribers to the commercial child pornography site. One of the alleged subscribers, according to testimony, was identified as William Gammon, of Houston.

On Nov. 20, 2009, Houston ICE agents executed a federal search warrant at Gammon's residence and found a safe which contained a notepad with a hand written note containing the website for the child pornography site along with other child pornography websites and seized three computers. According to testimony in open court, a forensic exam of the three computers seized from Gammon's residence resulted in the discovery thousands of images and more than 100 videos containing child pornography.
